Program Overview

Reading/Writing

We provide extensive coverage of all areas of the language arts, namely reading and writing. Our students work on mastering these essential skills by working on understanding and responding to written passages. Since reading comprehension is a life skill that requires years of mastering, we work closely with students to assess their progression and continually strive to challenge students beyond their current reading and writing levels. By administering many reading and writing passages at differing levels of difficulty, we are able to identify weak points, improve comprehension skills and minimize grammatical, structural and spelling errors.

Math/Science

Students are given interactive worksheets to assess their understanding of concepts in both math and science disciplines. We believe that rehearsal and practice are necessary for solidifying essential skills, such as solving math problems. As a result, we often begin our sessions by reviewing previous material and giving students fun one-minute math problems. Learning requires a foundation of knowledge which begins to form during a student’s elementary years; therefore we place a strong emphasis on challenging students to build upon their existing knowledge, while also identifying new connections between course material and their everyday lives.
